چکیده
BACKGROUND: Diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disorder, affected by fructose, and artificial sweeteners. Aspartame fructose are popularly used, diabetics, as substitutes to glucose. AIM: This study evaluated the effect of high aspartame on vascular reactivity, glucose, hepatic metabolism in diabetic rats. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Forty-eight male rats were divided into six groups: Control, control-diabetic, aspartame, aspartame-diabetic, fructose-diabetic. After 60 days, blood pressure, reactivity norepinephrine, Lipid profile, fasting insulin, homeostasis model assessment insulin resistance (HOMA-IR), leptin, Malondialdehyde (MDA) measured. RESULTS: High alone or with diabetes, decreased increased triglyceride, cholesterol, MDA, Hepatic tissues showed dilated congested vessels, cellular infiltration, Periodic Acid Schiff’s reaction, collagenous fibers. high-density lipoprotein, Low-density HOMA-IR. more fatty glycogen deposition, collagenous-fibers. The condition became worse diabetes-treated CONCLUSION: diet caused deleterious effects atherogenic, oxidative stress, vascular, tissue impairment.

Objective(s): Phytochemicals such as polyphenols, alkaloids, and terpenoids, protect against the development of early stages and complications of diabetes mellitus according to various reports. The aim of this study was to measure the anti-dyslipidemic and anti-diabetic effects of Citral on high-fat-diet (HFD) and streptozotocin (STZ) induced diabetic dyslipidemic rats and to see also its effec...

study the effects of low level laser diode on no production and healing of diabetic and cortisone acetate and normal wounded sd rats
nitric oxide (no) is a small molecule synthesized by most of mammalian cells with diverse biological activities including vasodilatation, host defense and wound healing. impaired wound healing is a common occurrence among diabetics and patients receiving glucocorticoid therapy. on the other hand the application of laser in biomedical area have been increased. thus, the current studies were desi...

BACKGROUND As a result of the increased consumption of sugar-rich and fatty-products, and the increase in preference for such products, metabolic disorders are becoming more common at a younger age. Fructose is particularly used in prepared foods and carbonated beverages. We investigated the impact of regular consumption of fructose, in combination or not with fatty food, on the onset of metabo...
